Theater Averages: Dragons Look Down on the Other New Releases There was only one wide release in the $10,000 club, as Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral earned an average of $11,082. Furie was a surprise entry in the $10,000 club with an average of $11,151 in 14 theaters. Giant Little Ones and Apollo 11 had nearly identical averages of $13,500 and $13,392 respectively, but were playing in vastly different number of theaters at 1 and 120 respectively. The second place film, Gloria Bell, had the third best theater average of the year so far with an average of $29,044 in five theaters. It did earn the best average of the year so far at $35,599. Hotel Mumbai led the way on the theater average chart with an average of $22,016 in 4 theaters during its opening weekend. Theater Averages: Hotel Mumbai is Fully Booked The Us Blu-ray screener hasn’t arrived yet, but it is still Pick of the Week, even with an unknown quality of extras. There are only two contenders for Pick of the Week: Us and Killing Eve: Season Two. It is a shallow week with a lot of films on the main list that would be secondary Blu-ray releases on a normal week.
